House Cleaning Across Morris County, NJ — Local Notes

Where we work

Morristown has been the county seat since Morris County was formed in 1739, and it is completely surrounded by Morris Township. The Passaic, Whippany and Rockaway rivers run through the county; the Passaic forms Chatham's eastern line with Millburn and Summit, and East Hanover sits between the Passaic and the Whippany.

The homes

Homes in Morris are newer and more spread out than in our eastern counties. About 65% of the county's 199,506 homes are single-family detached, the median year built is 1971, and only about one home in eight dates from before 1940, according to Census estimates for 2020–2024. Morristown itself is different: 63.3% of its homes are rented, compared with 14.1% in neighboring Morris Township, so a Morristown visit is as likely to be an apartment as a house.

Daily life here

The Morris County Park Commission manages about 20,520 acres, including the trails of Loantaka Brook Reservation and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, and Patriots' Path runs through Hanover Township past Whippany. Morristown Line trains stop at Chatham, Madison, Convent Station, Morristown and Morris Plains. For larger houses, tell us which rooms and floors you want covered, and we confirm the price before we book.
