A deep clean is not a blank check of tasks

A detailed visit can include more work on the agreed surfaces without including every interior, storage area or specialist task in a home. The useful question is not just β€œIs this a deep clean?” but β€œWhich rooms, surfaces and interiors are written into my quote?”

DM separately prices appliance, cabinet and storage interiors. Request them before booking so availability, access, preparation and price can be confirmed. A task appearing in a DIY checklist does not automatically make it part of your cleaning package.

Know the difference between outside and inside

Discuss each interior separately when requesting a quote
ItemWhat to specifyPreparation to agree
OvenInterior and the parts includedAppliance off, cool and accessible; follow its care instructions
RefrigeratorWhich interior areas are requestedFood storage and which shelves or drawers can be handled
MicrowaveInterior rather than exterior onlyAccessible appliance and manufacturer instructions
Cabinets or storageWhich units and shelvesEmpty the agreed sections; keep belongings out of the work area

Do not create preparation problems

Ask before dismantling appliance parts, disconnecting equipment or moving heavy items. A cleaner may not be able to reinstall a component you removed. Share care instructions and point out damaged seals, cracked shelves or delicate finishes.

If the refrigerator will be emptied, arrange appropriate food storage. If cabinets are being cleaned, decide where their contents will go without covering the counters and floors needed for the rest of the visit. Preparation should improve access rather than move the obstacle to the next room.

Bed linens, laundry and mudrooms

Bed-linen changes are available upon request for an additional $20 per bedroom. Confirm the requested work when booking and have the agreed clean linens ready. This is not a laundry service.

DM does not wash dishes or wash, dry or fold clothes. Laundry and mudroom areas receive light cleanup only. Tell us if these spaces need attention beyond that description so expectations can be discussed before the visit; do not assume a basket of clothes or a sink of dishes is included.

Use a short written request

For example: β€œPlease quote cleaning for a two-bedroom home with one bathroom, plus the refrigerator interior and the interiors of the empty lower kitchen cabinets. Please confirm what I should empty and the total price.” This is a planning example, not a sample DM price or customer story.

  • Identify the main service and rooms.
  • List each extra on a separate line.
  • Describe the condition and access.
  • Ask about preparation and exclusions.
  • Confirm the complete written price before work starts.

Use the current pricing page for published ranges, then obtain a quote for your home. If you change the request later, ask for the revised scope and price before the additional work. Clear extras make the visit easier to plan and the finished work easier to review.

Make the next step specific.

Tell us the rooms, their condition and the extras you want included. We will confirm the scope and price before the visit.
