House Cleaning Across Somerset County, NJ — Local Notes
Where we work
Somerville is the county seat of Somerset County, formed in 1688. We serve its eastern side, where the Watchung ridges run northeast from Somerville: Warren Township, which the Second Watchung Mountain cuts through, and the borough of Watchung, whose name comes from a Lenape word meaning “high hills.”
The homes
Homes in Somerset are newer than in the rest of our service area: the county's median year built is 1982, and fewer than one home in ten dates from before 1940. Warren's median is 1985, with 87.4% single-family detached homes and 11.8% rented; Watchung's is 1974, with 76.4% detached, according to Census estimates for 2020–2024. These are mostly larger single-family houses, so a first visit starts with a review of your rooms, their condition and your priorities before we confirm the work and price.
Daily life here
Washington Valley Park's 715 acres lie between the First and Second Watchung ridges, and Washington Rock State Park in nearby Green Brook marks the overlook Washington used in 1777. Interstate 78 crosses northern Warren and Watchung, which keeps both an easy trip from our Kenilworth base.
